Our approach: why we don't use the sine method
The 360 Space Acoustic methodology is an approach based on scientific research and measurements. We do not use the sine method because it does not give accurate results. The standard Thiel–Small method (1965, sine signals) gives an efficiency of 1.5–5%, which is a low efficiency indicator. Our company, 360° Space Acoustic, uses impulse response (Dirac function) for objective measurements and subjective perception.
What is the problem with the sine method?
The sine method does not take into account the features of the room and the location of the speaker systems. It cannot accurately evaluate sound quality under real-world conditions. In contrast, our approach is based on 3D scanning of the room and calculation of acoustic parameters. We use proprietary equipment, such as Payos Audio Main Control active 3-way monitors, to accurately measure and tune speaker systems.
How do we solve the problem of full-cycle acoustics?
Our company, 360° Space Acoustic, solves the problem of full-cycle acoustics with an integrated approach. We conduct a 3D scan of the room, calculate acoustic parameters and design acoustic systems for specific conditions. We also use directivity as a tool, not a slogan, and take into account room and speaker placement.
